Amazon Ads Media Envy

Envy is everywhere in the advertising industry. And while it can be an uncomfortable emotion to experience, it can also be powerful motivator. 

We needed to create the next chapter of ‘Ads that work as hard as you do’, to deepen the connection with media professionals, and bring their attention to Amazon Ad’s vast suite of products and channels - with emphasis on Prime Video and Twitch.

So we harnessed this uncomfortable emotion to show the reach and effectiveness of Amazon Ads through the eyes of an envious marketer, who is haunted by their competitor’s infuriatingly pervasive campaign, positioning Amazon Ads as the solution.

The hero film was supported by a series of 15s that honed in on product priorities and unpacked the root cause of our character’s envy.

Then, during the most envy-riddled event on the advertising calendar, we released tactical print ads showing what those of us who didn’t win a Cannes Lion were really feeling.
